Parents and teens

Welcome back, peeps*.
*Courtesy of a combination of a word used incorrectly by youth and exaggerated by parents/general old people
The ancient, famous dilemma; teens and parents.  'Nuff said.  Teens often feel that parents are too possessive and nosy.  Parents see teens making mistakes and having weird quirks, as well as acting out and being irresponsible.  This is proof of aliens radiating us.  Teens see that parents made these mistakes (they made up plenty of oddly used words that are now common).  Parents see teens making up stuff that they don't get.  A consistent theme is that parents think that their generation and time was better than the current one.

Another theme is arguments.  Teens want more freedom and less hovering from parents.  Parents want more responsibility from teens.  It's a cycle that isn't going to end without one generation beginning a trend of giving up, which won't end well long-term.

The answer is pledging allegiance to the mole people.
